Products

All products are scalable and stackable. Total Energy Company will offer a range of inverter and converter products that can be used for photovoltaic and other renewable energy sources. Its products deliver higher efficiency, lower weight and lower installed system's cost compared to existing products. The Total Energy Company products can be used individually, stacked in series, or configured to provide a wide range of efficient and cost effective systems.

They also offer a range of value-added features that will be increasing important to the industry. This includes grid-independent operation without batteries.

Total Energy Company initial products are:

• 5kW Converter- Inverter (Non-grid-tied standalone, 25lbs. approximate weight)
  37-70V DC input (nominal 48V), with 110V / 230V AC output for American and international markets with MPPT
  
• 5kW Converter- Inverter (Grid-tied, 40lbs. approximate weight)
  37-70V DC input (nominal 48V), with 110V / 230V AC output for American and international markets
  Units come with rated output of 50Hz - 60Hz (adjustable for unique world needs)
• 5kW Grid-Tied Inverter
  350-550V DC input, 120/240V AC output for American and international markets
• 100kW Isolated Inverter - commercial development begins late summer 2009.
  

Non grid-tied inverter has 99% efficiency with less than 1% harmonic distortion.
Grid-tied requires 0.8% reduction to eliminate utility harmonic disturbance.

Inverter

The Total Energy Company 5KW grid-tied inverter system is for American and international renewable energy systems. The inverter provides 120 or 240V AC single phase power at 50 - 60Hz. The inverter is designed to meet IEEE1547 and UL1741 standards.

The Total Energy Company inverter has superior efficiency to currently available inverter systems. The inverter can also be stacked (used in parallel) for use in higher power systems without any loss of efficiency.

The higher inverter efficiency also dramatically reduces wasted heat dissipation. This enables the system to eliminate the active cooling fan and only use natural convection cooling. The lower heat dissipation also reduces thermal stress on components and leads to more reliable long term operation.

The Maximum Power Point Tracking range for the inverter is 350 to 550V DC input from high voltage PV string arrays. The inverter, when combined with Total Energy Company' converter can also be used in hybrid systems with low voltage sources such as batteries, fuel cells and low voltage parallel PV arrays.
