Brad Hamilton
Brad Hamilton is current president of Tennessee Solar Energy Association and teaches graduate courses on solar design at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He brings to Total Energy Company over 15 years of experience in the wireless communications industry. His background is in real-world sales, marketing, retail management, and business administration.
Mr. Hamilton is the vice president of Cellular Express, Inc., a TN corporation, which he founded in 1998. Cellular Express is a management company that operates authorized retail locations throughout the southeast region for national cellular carriers AT&T and U S Cellular. Mr. Hamilton graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1999, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing. He currently resides in Lenoir City, TN with his wife and two daughters.
Stephanie L. Hamilton,
Business and R&DD Collaborations Manager
Stephanie L. Hamilton, as Total Energy Company’s (TEC) Business and Research Development & Demonstration Collaborations Manager, works to build relationships and develop complementary projects and business growth, working with quality partners. The purposes of such collaborations are to advance cutting edge technology and establish workable business models for TEC’s Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Smart Grid Team. The projects are focused on interfacing TEC’s high-efficiency inverter technology system for effective consumer use and based on the TEC’s advanced technology also provide improved power grid support services in an open architecture and an interoperable manner.
Previously, Ms. Hamilton worked for the Electric Power Research Institute within both its Smart Grid demonstration team and IntelliGrid program with utility industry leaders and key RD&D organizations, such as the US Department of Energy, the California Energy Commission and US National Laboratories, such as Oak Ridge National Lab. Earlier she was in charge of DER for Southern California Edison (SCE) evaluating the technical and cost-benefit attributes of renewable energy, microturbines, fuel cells and various energy storage technologies. Prior to SCE, she held a variety of ever-increasing managerial responsibilities in energy (natural gas, power, and fuels) including planning, operations, business development, consulting, and marketing & sales. These positions have been with some of the largest US electric and gas utilities and their unregulated subsidiaries, both private and public, throughout the Western States.
Ms. Hamilton holds an MBA, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and is widely published on energy and energy-related issues. Ms. Hamilton has made numerous domestic and international presentations, prepared a variety of papers and articles and has authored and co-authored two books -- Distributed Generation: A Non-Technical Guide and The Microturbine Generator Handbook. She is a founding member of the GridWise Architecture Council sponsored by the US Department of Energy and after six years of volunteer service has moved to emeritus status.

William Haynes,
VP Business Development
Mr Haynes' 25 year career focus has been to prove economic benefits of environmental paradigm shifts. This is accomplished in close cooperation between industry and governmental organizations. He completed the course work for an MBA and MCM (Masters of City Management) focusing on FASB and GASB (Financial and Governmental Standards Board). He also did graduate studies in City Management, City Planning & Finance from East Tennessee State University.
Mr Haynes researched and proved the environmental and economic benefit for the industry's first sanitary landfill. His landfill design model became the industry standard for subtitle D of the Sanitary Landfill Act. He also designed and developed the first active landfill project to meet this standard working with TenKan, a division of H.R. Hamm. This eastern Kansas landfill project created a billion dollar cash flow.
Previously Mr. Haynes established the first industrial recycling program in Tennessee by proving the economic benefits to industry. He worked closely with several industries to establish best business practices. He also has trained the FBI's hazardous waste squad and been involved in many civic activities and organizations.
David Grab,
Controller
Mr. Grab has over 30 years of extensive experience in finance and accounting in manufacturing, service, and local government. He most recently served as VP of Finance, Planning & Budgeting for ESC and CFO for ALI, both in the Knoxville area. He received his BS and MBA from the University of Tennessee.
